Embracing the Big Leap
Taking a big leap is never easy. It requires us to think differently, take risks, and operate differently in our day-to-day life. I always emphasize the importance of evidence in not just taking singular risks but in operating differently on a daily basis. It’s about identifying the person you need to become to make your goals a reality and focusing on the 20% of high-leverage moves that will drive your big leap forward.
The Sacrifices of Choosing Your Path
Choosing to take a big leap is a conscious decision, one that comes with new sacrifices. It’s not about taking one big risk and expecting everything to fall into place; it’s about making high-leverage moves consistently. I wanted to share the story of a client who dedicated 90 minutes every morning for 90 days to write a book. That book not only is finished but also became a bestseller. This example illustrates the level of commitment and focus required to achieve significant goals.
Determining Who You Need to Be
It’s crucial to determine who you need to be and what you need to do to make your big leap a reality. Operating in the 20% that will move the needle forward and eliminating the 80% that does not support the big leap is essential. I also talk about the importance of bringing in the right people to take off the 80% of tasks, allowing you to focus on the high-leverage moves that will drive your success.
Trading Incremental Growth for Exponential Growth
Imagine drastically altering your lifestyle, downsizing your living situation, cutting down expenses, all for a mission that weighs heavily on your heart. This is the story of a remarkable woman who, along with her family, embraced such a change. Despite the financial challenges and uncertainties that loomed over them for about 3 to 4 years, her commitment to her mission never wavered. Her perseverance and dedication paid off in an extraordinary way, culminating in a staggering success of $30 million.
This tale isn’t just about the end result; it’s about the importance of taking big risks and being prepared for the rocky path that comes with pursuing one’s passion. It’s a testament to the idea that the most significant achievements often come from the most significant sacrifices.
To wrap up, I encourage you to shift your frame of reference, take calculated risks, and operate differently in your day-to-day life to achieve your big leap. Believe in yourself and your ability to make it happen. Remember, it’s not only about what you need to do but also about who you need to be.
