A note from Liz:
After over a dozen years as a business advisor for hundreds of ambitious entrepreneurs - including greats like John C. Maxwell - I’ve had a front row seat to what sets apart those who find some success in their business, and those who live out God-given potential in their lives.
Here’s a hint: it’s not just another marketing or operations strategy.
An intentional, freedom-filled life comes only from an intentionally led business and leader.
But I wasn’t always one.
In fact, I felt like I was drowning.
In 2015, our business had hit its stride! We had hit our first million in profit and doors were opening for our growing company that had me traveling, speaking, and hiring more team.
But 2015 was also the year we welcomed our first baby into our family, and I was broadsided by the stark reality that I was either going to keep chasing my work calling, or I was going to shift into motherhood.
Like any pureblood 3 on the enneagram would, I decided I could do both!
So I did. We kept seeing wins at work, and kept having more babies.
Until we entered a season where it felt like I was sprinting on a treadmill. No matter how hard I ran, I was stuck in place. Little blips of success, but then I’d find myself scrambling again to keep up with it.
I had built this business for freedom and the ability to be a present, peace-filled mom, living into her purpose, and instead I was stuck in the weeds doing work I didn’t even love.
There was no significant growth anymore.
Burnout was nipping at my heels with each step I took.
And then, out of sheer necessity, I leaned into mentors who were doing what I wanted to do: do their life’s work while while experiencing holistic success.
I took the time to create a process that would get me (and hundreds of my clients suffering through the same struggles) up out of busy entrepreneurship, and into our rightful seats as Visionary CEO’s leading our businesses and our lives - doing the work that God called us to do both in our companies and in our homes.
